Liberty Township, Butler County Ohio is located just south of Monroe, Ohio of which part of Liberty Township protrudes into. Liberty Township has an area of approximately 29 square miles. It was formed in 1803 and named after Liberty Pennsylvania. It’s name is certainly not unique in Ohio as there are 25 other townships named Liberty.
Major thoroughfares include: Cincinnati-Dayton Road, Butler County Veterans Highway, I-75, State Route 4.
Most of Liberty Township is served by Lakota Local School District with the exception of the northeast corner which is in Monroe Local School District.
Major Hospitals in and around Liberty Township include West Chester Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Liberty Campus , Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. Liberty Township is a fast commute of less than 30 minutes to most Greater Cincinnati area hospitals.
Liberty Center was opened in 2015 and is a delightful collection of retail shopping and restaurants on its 100 acre development. Included in Liberty Center currently are more than 80 retail store and more than 25 restaurants. The Funny Bone Comedy Club, The Cheescake Factory, Starbucks, Cobb Theatre and CineBistro, Pies and Pints, Cooper’s Hawk Winery are some of the main attactions.
